The price of SJC gold bars was listed by DOJI Group at 131.3 - 133.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell). At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC and PNJ gold bars at 131.6 - 133.6 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Silver price this afternoon, September 22: Increased, maintaining the upward trend
As of 5:00 p.m. on September 22, silver prices at Phu Quy Gold and Gemstone Group were adjusted up slightly compared to the previous trading session.
Specifically, the price of 999 silver bars and ingots (1 tael) is currently listed at 1,656 million VND (buy) to 1,707 million VND (sell), an increase of 3,000 VND/tael in both directions.
For 999 silver bars (1kg), the current price is VND 44,159 million (buy) and VND 45,519 million (sell), up VND 80,000/kg.
In the international market, silver prices also recorded an upward trend. At the same time, the world silver price reached 43.21 USD/ounce, an increase of 0.38 USD compared to yesterday morning.
According to expert James Hyerczyk, the main driver of silver price increase is the Fed's 0.25% interest rate cut and expectations of future monetary easing policies. Cash flows into precious metals remain stable thanks to interest rate revaluation, solid industrial demand and sustainable physical demand.
Silver is now approaching a key resistance level at $44.22 an ounce. The market is awaiting important macroeconomic data coming up, especially the final consumer sentiment report from the University of Michigan. Preliminary results showed consumer confidence fell 4.8%, while long-term inflation expectations rose to 3.9%.
USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 22: Extending the increase streak
The USD exchange rate on the afternoon of September 22 was inconsistent. While the free market slightly decreased, the central exchange rate and the exchange rate at commercial banks increased simultaneously.
The State Bank announced the central exchange rate increased by 3 VND compared to the previous session, to 25,189 VND/USD. With a fluctuation range of 5%, the floor and ceiling exchange rates are 23,930 - 26,448 VND/USD, respectively.
At the State Bank of Vietnam's Transaction Office, the reference exchange rate is listed at 23,980 VND/USD (buy) and 26,398 VND/USD (sell).

In the free market in Hanoi, USD was traded at around 26,440 - 26,540 VND/USD, down 25 VND compared to the previous. In contrast, most commercial banks adjusted the USD buying and selling prices up.
Specifically, Vietcombank listed at 26,178 - 26,448 VND/USD, a slight increase in both directions.
VietinBank listed the USD buying and selling prices at 26,207 - 26,448 VND/USD, an increase of 1 VND/USD for buying and 3 VND/USD for selling.
Techcombank listed the USD buying and selling prices at 26,199 - 26,448 VND/USD, an increase of 7 VND/USD for buying and 3 VND/USD for selling.
BIDV listed the USD buying and selling prices at 26,200 - 26,448 VND/USD, down 5 VND/USD for buying and up 3 VND/USD for selling.
Eximbank listed the USD buying and selling prices at 26,180 - 26,448 VND/USD, an increase of 10 VND/USD for buying and 3 VND/USD for selling.
Sacombank listed the USD buying and selling prices at 26,190 - 26,448 VND/USD, stable in the buying price and increased by 3 VND/USD in the selling price.
Internationally, the greenback continued to extend its four-session winning streak. The Dollar Index, which measures the strength of the USD against a basket of six major currencies, rose 0.15% to 97.79 points.
Pepper price today September 22, 2025: Continuously moving sideways
Pepper prices today in key growing areas remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Accordingly, the domestic pepper price level is from 147,000 VND/kg to 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Lam Dong (old Dak Nong) is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 150,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper price today in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Ba Ria - Vung Tau) is currently at 149,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 149,000 VND/kg.
In addition, today's pepper price in Dong Nai (formerly Binh Phuoc) remained unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 147,000 VND/kg.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on September 22 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia’s Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,027 per tonne. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,957 per tonne.
Brazilian ASTA black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $6,600/mt.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,700/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,900/ton.
Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 6,600 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 6,800 USD/ton.
In addition, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at 9,250 USD/ton.
Coffee price today September 22, 2025: Slight increase again
Domestic coffee prices today, September 22, 2025, in the Central Highlands region increased slightly compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 111,500 - 112,200 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in the old Dak Nong region are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 112,200 VND/kg, a slight increase of 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 112,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province increased by VND600/kg compared to yesterday and were traded at VND111,800/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices increased by 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday and are at 111,500 VND/kg.

On the London exchange, the online price of robusta coffee futures contract for November 2025 delivery reached 4,364 USD/ton, up 3.12% (129 USD/ton) compared to yesterday. The contract for January 2026 delivery increased 2.93% (120 USD/ton), to 4,209 USD/ton.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 increased by 0.22% (0.8 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 367.3 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 increased by 0.33% (1.15 US cents/pound) to 347.4 US cents/pound.

On the Brazilian exchange, the price of Arabica coffee for delivery in December 2025 decreased by 1.1% (4.85 US cents/pound) compared to yesterday, to 432.95 US cents/pound. The contract for delivery in March 2026 decreased by 0.98% (4.3 US cents/pound) to 429 US cents/pound.

Oil price today September 22, 2025: Increase as international tensions escalate
Oil prices rebounded on tensions in Europe and the Middle East, but abundant supply pressure and concerns about weakening demand still dominated the market.
Brent crude rose 0.67% to $67.13 a barrel, while October WTI futures edged up 0.75% to $63.15 a barrel. The more active November WTI contract also rose 0.69% to $62.83 a barrel.
The direct cause comes from tensions on the Polish border as Russia continues to conduct military operations near NATO airspace, forcing Warsaw and its allies to deploy fighter jets. At the same time, the United Nations has scheduled an emergency meeting regarding allegations of Russian violations of Estonian airspace. These events add more risks to the European energy market.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade announced new retail prices of gasoline and oil, effective from 3:00 p.m. on September 18. Specifically as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline price increased by 230 VND, to a maximum of 19,986 VND/liter.
- RON95 gasoline price increased by 208 VND, reaching 20,608 VND/liter.
- E10 RON 95-III gasoline price increased sharply by 560 VND, reaching 20,600 VND/liter.
- Diesel oil increased by 62 VND to 18,705 VND/liter.
- Kerosene price increased by 176 VND to 18,544 VND/liter.
- Fuel oil price increased by 40 VND, to 15,130 VND/kg.
During this period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund.
