The AAG international submarine cable has completed fixing the error on the Sli segment connecting from Vietnam to Hong Kong (China).

According to information from VNPT, on the night of October 22, the problem on the AAG international submarine cable line has been resolved. The transmission signal on this cable line has been restored to normal. However, the cable error on the SMW-3 line has not been resolved as planned.

Specifically, at around 11:55 p.m. on October 22, the AAG international submarine cable line completed fixing the error on the Sli segment connecting from Vietnam to Hong Kong (China). Thus, the transmission channel on the line was restored after 10 days of problems.

The repair of the AAG submarine cable ended 3 days earlier than expected (October 26). Currently, VNPT Net is closely monitoring the quality of the AAG cable and re-allocating traffic appropriately after the cable is restored.

Meanwhile, another submarine cable, SMW-3, broke down on October 10 in the sea area near China. The repair was expected to be completed on October 20, but has yet to be completed. Internet service providers in Vietnam said the delay was due to the large waves in the sea, so the cable repair ship could not reach the area.

Since its launch, the AAG submarine cable has been experiencing continuous problems, affecting internet connections from Vietnam to other countries. In 2017 alone, the system experienced four problems. In addition, other cable lines such as IA, APG and SMW-3 have also been interrupted many times./.
