According to the incident handling plan that the management board of this submarine optical cable line informed ISPs in Vietnam, the incident is expected to be resolved by July 14. However, at 5:20 pm last night (July 5), the incident was completely resolved and by this morning (July 6), the transmission traffic on this line has been restored to normal.
Previously, at 4:00 a.m. on June 20, the APG submarine cable from Da Nang to international destinations (US, Japan, Hong Kong) experienced a connection loss. The incident point was about 125 km from the Da Nang landing station. This is the second time this cable has encountered a problem since it was put into operation.
The APG submarine cable line was officially put into operation in Vietnam in October 2016, and is expected to gradually replace the AAG line, which has been experiencing frequent problems recently. With a capacity of up to 54 Tbps, APG is currently the international submarine cable line with the largest capacity in Asia.
