Couple caught trafficking drugs

On the morning of March 16, the An Giang Provincial Police Investigation Agency announced that it had just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and issue a detention order against Nguyen Van Anh Tuan (27 years old), residing in Hung Thoi 1 hamlet, Phu Hung commune and Le Thi Ngoc Quy (26 years old), residing in Hung Tan hamlet, Phu Hung commune, Phu Tan district for the act of illegal drug trafficking.

Previously, at 10:30 p.m. on March 7, using professional measures, the anti-drug police force discovered at Thuan Giang ferry terminal in Tan Trung commune, Phu Tan district, a young man wearing a black jacket and white pants driving a motorbike with license plate 59F1-859.89, showing suspicious signs.

Detectives from the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with the Economic, Drug and Environmental Crime Investigation Police Team of the Phu Tan District Police to request the young man with the above characteristics to come to the Tan Trung Commune Police Headquarters for clarification.

During the inspection, the police seized 4 nylon bags containing white crystals (suspected to be drugs) and 23.5 million VND in a cardboard box on the motorbike driven by the young man.

At the police station, the young man gave his name as Nguyen Van Anh Tuan (27 years old), residing in Hung Thoi 1 hamlet, Phu Hung commune, Phu Tan district. The nylon bags containing white crystals that the police seized were synthetic drugs in the form of rocks, weighing 100 grams.

Expanding the investigation of the case, on March 8, the Investigation Police Agency of Phu Tan District Police executed an emergency detention order against Le Thi Ngoc Quy (26 years old, girlfriend of Nguyen Van Anh Tuan), residing in Hung Tan Hamlet, Phu Hung Commune, for the act of illegal drug trafficking.
