Capello joins Chinese football village
The famous Italian coach has just signed a contract to lead Jiangsu Suning, with a weekly salary of about $153,000.
"Fabio Capello was appointed as the new coach of Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League on June 11," BBC reported.
"We have signed a work contract with Fabio Capello. He will be the head coach of the club. Welcome Fabio!", Jiangsu announced on the club's official website.
The 70-year-old becomes the latest high-profile coach to move to China, following Luis Felipe Scolari, Andre Villas-Boas, Gus Poyet and Felix Magath.

A welcome message for Capello was posted on Jiangsu Suning's Twitter account. |
Capello is also the third Italian currently coaching in China. Fabio Cannanavaro is in charge of Tianjin Quanjian, while Marcello Lippi is the head coach of the Chinese national team.
Capello managed England for four years before resigning in 2012. He then became head coach of Russia from 2012 until he was sacked in 2015 after a failed World Cup campaign.
Before that, he made his name at AC Milan in the 1990s, helping the club win four Serie A titles and the 1993-94 Champions League (beating Barca's dream team).
Capello also won two more La Liga titles in two spells at Real Madrid, and a Serie A title with Roma. He also won two Serie A titles with Juventus, but both were stripped of them due to a match-fixing scandal.

British media believe Capello could lure his former student Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Jiangsu, after the Swedish striker's contract with Man Utd expired in July. Ibrahimovic once praised his former coach at Juventus as "the person who changed my style of play".
In Jiangsu, Capello also brought two former Milan players, Cristian Brocchi and Gianluigi Zambrotta, as assistants.
Jiangsu finished runners-up in the Chinese Super League last season and qualified for this season’s Asian Champions League. But after 12 rounds of the 2017 Chinese Super League, the club is in second-to-last place.
