Cargill Vietnam hands over 4 classrooms to Nghia Trung Primary School, worth over 1.3 billion VND
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9, in Nghia Dan district (Nghe An), Cargill Vietnam Company held the inauguration ceremony and handed over classrooms to Nghia Trung Primary School.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the District People's Committee, Department of Education and Training of Nghia Dan District; Mr. Stoney Su - Representative of Cargill Group, General Director of Cargill in Vietnam, representatives of the Northern Factory and agents and partners of Cargill in Nghe An.
Nghia Trung Commune has 2 primary schools, the school was built with the support of Cargill Vietnam Charity Fund, has 200 students (of which 30% are ethnic minority children), 5 km from the central school, and the roads are still difficult to travel.
The project started construction in June 2017, including 4 new classrooms and accompanying ancillary works worth 1.35 billion VND. After 5 months of construction, the project was completed on schedule and with quality to be put into use.
Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the People's Committee of Nghia Dan district, on behalf of the locality and the school, thanked Cargill Vietnam Company for its attention and financial support, and the project helped create learning conditions for children in poor Nghia Trung commune.
At the ceremony, Mr. Stoney Su, representative of Cargill Vietnam Company, expressed his joy and honor to sponsor a locality with many difficulties and also the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh; wished to support the children to go to school; at the same time hoped that the locality and the school would continue to preserve and make good use of classrooms and other equipment, to better meet the learning needs of the students.
