Cat Tuong shared in the talk show 1001 True Stories with actor Trung Dung that just debuted about the temptations she encountered when entering the profession. |
“I was curious, wanted to explore and thought that way I would have life experience to act in movies. I remember when I was filming “Bloody Money”, some friends in the dormitory bought me drugs to practice smoking. After practicing smoking, I almost fell over because it was so heavy. Finally, I was able to do it and acted excellently in movies. That’s why I always played gangsters, husband snatchers, debt collectors…”, the female artist recounted.
Cat Tuong also frankly admitted that she herself had experienced many temptations in her career. When she was 18 years old, she and her group of friends were considered beautiful and attracted the attention of men. That is why she and her group of friends were noticed by a group of "madams" who specialized in introducing young girls working in the arts to rich men.
This group approached her and her friends and asked for information. At that time, she was still young so she simply thought that because they liked her, they asked for her picture and contact details to create a profile for her acting and singing career, to conveniently introduce or promote to directors. The female artist did not expect that everything was not as rosy as she thought.

The MC and actress refused a tycoon's offer to be a surrogate mother for $50,000. |
Some of my classmates and I were scouted by that group and invited to join with high salaries. At that time, there was an album of sexy photos with names and measurements. I saw with my own eyes whose names were in that album. When I provided it, they said it was for a resume to invite to shows. I was naive and my friends believed it too. But in fact, that album was for inviting guests with a price ranging from 300 to 500 USD/time, if staying overnight, it was negotiable.
“That day, I only earned 200,000 – 300,000 VND for filming, but I earned… 300 USD for seeing clients. When I found out, I was very angry and cursed those people right in their faces,” Cat Tuong recounted.
Not only was Cat Tuong targeted by the "madam" who pimped young girls for rich men, she also received an offer from a rich man to be her surrogate mother for 50,000 USD.
The female artist revealed: “Once, there was a rich man from abroad who didn’t know what to look at and targeted me. The broker invited me to a luxurious meal and said he wanted to have a child with me. He would pay me 50,000 USD, but only take the child, not the mother. That made me feel offended. I still pretended to smile and asked why so many beautiful women didn’t want to, but wanted to ask me? They replied that they wanted me to have a child because I was… smart. (Laughs)
At that time, if this offer was sent to a young person in difficulty, wanting to live a fuller, more prosperous life, it would have been great. But in the end, I let it go.”
