Who is the only Vietnamese boy 'invited' by the Organizing Committee to attend the 2018 World Cup final?
Nguyen Le Thanh Son was honored to be chosen as the representative of Vietnam along with 21 other children from other countries to be held hands by the players of the two national teams competing for the 2018 World Cup championship on the field in the Final match.
Within the framework of the event "Summer Fun with Football", the Organizing Committee officially announced that Nguyen Le Thanh Son (5th grade student of Chu Van An School, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) will be the representative of Vietnam along with 21 other international children as "player escorts" leading the two best teams onto the field for the flag-raising ceremony before the final match of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
This is considered the only Vietnamese boy to date who has had the honor of "performing a mission" at the Final match of the world's biggest football tournament taking place in Russia.

In Russia, Nguyen Le Thanh Son will experience a "playing with the players" skill training class for children, participate in family activities in Russia, receive uniforms and souvenir gifts for children, have a support person (who can speak English and Russian) throughout the program, and a visa to enter Russia.
In addition, there are opportunities for children to interact and exchange with international press, support programs and on-field supervision.
