(Baonghean.vn) - With a score of 19.5/20, Nguyen Van Dang became the valedictorian of Physics in this year's Nghe An province's excellent student exam. Also in this exam, Dang won second prize in Mathematics with a score of 15/20.

These days, the small house of student Nguyen Van Dang in Anh Son town (Anh Son district) is constantly filled with guests coming to share the joy. Dang has just returned from the Provincial Excellent Student Competition for the 2018-2019 school year with a second prize in Mathematics and valedictorian in Physics.

In this small mountain town, the small-statured male student has long been famous for his impressive academic achievements. Currently, Dang is a 9D student at Anh Son Secondary School.

Dang said that he came to Physics by chance, because in his parents' direction and his own thinking, Math was the number 1 priority. "However, during the learning process, I found Physics to be an attractive and interesting subject with many interesting exercises and different ways to solve them" - Dang said.

In addition, according to Dang, Physics is also very close to reality because its experiments can be applied in many daily lives. Therefore, the more Dang studies and learns, the more he is attracted and passionate about it without knowing it.

"Only when you look at Physics from a practical perspective, at phenomena in life and use Physics to explain them, will you see that this subject is not simply about formulas or numbers" - Dang shared.

To achieve high results in both Math and Physics in this year's provincial excellent student exam, Dang practiced by himself every hour, every day and needed to have passion. In addition to studying at school, self-studying at home is very important. He always spends 1/3 of his self-study time reviewing lectures, the remaining 2/3 of his time doing related and advanced exercises. During the study process, this male student also spends some sessions to test himself, to see which parts he has mastered and which parts he is not clear about so he can improve further.

Sharing about how to do the test, Dang said that he usually focuses on doing the easy questions before and during the test, and must have a stable mentality and a relaxed spirit. Dang has a hobby of playing the Rubik's cube whenever he has free time or wants to relax his mind.

During the previous 8 school years, Dang was an excellent student. In grade 5, Dang participated in the Informatics subject and won third prize in the province and first prize in Math at the district level. In junior high school, from grade 7 to grade 9, Dang always won high prizes in the district's excellent student competition. In grade 7 alone, Dang won first prize in Math and second prize in Physics. In grade 8, he was an outstanding student in the district with first prizes in 3 subjects: Math, Physics, and Chemistry.

Ms. Dang Thi Bich Ha - homeroom teacher of class 9D, said that Dang's achievement was not too surprising because he studied very solidly. He always maintained a stable performance during his studies and exams.
