Nong The Nam is a 5C student at Hoi Son Primary School (Hoi Son Commune - Anh Son). He has very impressive academic achievements. In addition to being good at all subjects and always being at the top of the school's academic results, Nam also especially loves and is very good at English.

Coming to the dilapidated house of Nong The Nam and his three children in village 7, Hoi Son commune, looking at his thin and small figure weighing only over 20 kg, no one would think that Nong The Nam was a 5th grader. Born into a poor family. Even when Nam's father was still alive, the family still had to struggle to make a living. The situation was already poor and difficult, in 2012, Nam's father suffered from a serious illness, leaving behind 3 children. Since then, his mother has worked hard to sell each bundle of vegetables to raise Nam and her two children. Realizing his situation early, from the first days of school, Nam showed his hard-working nature, eager to learn, always trying to excel in his studies.

Nam especially loves and is passionate about English, a subject that is always considered difficult for many students, especially students in mountainous areas. Right from the third grade, when he first started learning English, Nam showed his talent in remembering sentence syntax, absorbing new words and pronouncing clearly. When asked about the secret to learning English, Nam humbly said: I don't know why I always love this "special" subject. Seeing my mother working hard, I tried even harder, determined to study really well so as not to disappoint my mother's expectations.

Due to difficult circumstances, my mother did not have money to send me to extra classes like my friends, and my family did not have the means to buy all kinds of materials and textbooks. Therefore, in class, I paid attention to the teacher's lectures to grasp the grammar structure, especially combining listening, writing, and reading to memorize vocabulary. With difficult exercises or exercises that I did not understand, I boldly asked again in class. At home, I diligently solved many exercises, did not give up in front of difficult exercises, and outside of class time, I also borrowed advanced books from my friends and teachers and copied good math problems into my notebook to study.

Despite his circumstances, with his intelligence and diligence, for 5 consecutive years he was an excellent student at school with a score of 10 in all subjects and was elected as Class President. In grades 3, 4, and 5, Nam won first prize in Math and English at the district level. Recently, he was one of the school's 2 outstanding students to participate in the provincial IOE online English competition. In addition to his impressive academic achievements, Nam also helps his mother with a lot of housework outside of class.
