On July 29, 2023, on a number of Facebook social networking sites, an article appeared in a newspaper with the content "Suspected age fraud of Nghe An young player", referring to the PVN athlete of the U11 Song Lam Nghe An team currently participating in the 2023 National Children's Football Tournament.
In response to this information, Song Lam Nghe An Club affirmed that the center's athlete selection process is objective and transparent, based on records and documents as prescribed by law, and has been confirmed by the competent authorities.
