(Baonghean.vn) - Immediately after signing the cooperation agreement with Mito Hollyhook Club, SLNA Club leaders also had a meeting and worked with representatives of Tokyo FC (J.League 1) to find a common voice in the cooperation agreement on youth training, searching for potential young players to go to Japan to train and compete.
The visit and work of Tokyo Club had the presence of senior leaders of this team such as Mr. Okuda Masahiko - President's Office, Strategy Director; Mr. Kitahara Jiro - International Sports Director; Mr. Hisaka Masaaki - Business Development.
Tokyo Club has a history dating back to 1935, and was officially established in 1999. As a football team with the leading professional operating model in Japan, Tokyo Club is currently one of the football teams with "huge" revenue from football, averaging 55 million USD/year, with dozens of major sponsors and a large number of fans.
This working trip of the Tokyo Club representative is an important activity in the negotiation process, finding a common voice in cooperation in training, sponsorship, and professional football development. The activities of SLNA Club with Mito Hollyhook as well as Tokyo Club are part of the cooperation and development strategy between the Vietnam Football Federation and Japan.
According to Mr. Okuda Masahiko - President's Office, Strategy Director of Tokyo Club: "Tokyo FC’s trip to Vietnam this time has two main purposes. One is to seek opportunities to cooperate with Vietnamese clubs in the field of sports as well as business development and club operations. The second factor is to seek Vietnamese talents to be able to bring them to play football in Japan.
The common point between the two clubs that we can feel is the interest in youth training as well as providing many personnel for national football. From there, we will support training programs and support Vietnamese clubs in the management model. In the process of learning about the club, we feel there are differences between the two football backgrounds, but in the process of exchanging and sharing information will help the youth training program between the two clubs to be much better".
In the past, there have been Vietnamese players who went to Japan to play, but most of them did not leave much of an impression. SLNA Club also had player Le Cong Vinh play at Consadole Sapporo FC, but not for long. The leaders of Tokyo Club have messages to send to young Vietnamese talents who wish to play in J.League 1.
He said:“Despite having a relatively good technical foundation, one of the barriers that makes it difficult for Vietnamese players to integrate into the J.League is communication skills. Clubs have their own characteristics in the way they organize training, living and competing, and Vietnamese players often need a lot of time to get used to that.
Football is a story of 11 people on the field, not any star or player, so team spirit and collective spirit are put first. Connecting players together is very important, helping foreign players to compete confidently. I think that in the future, if Vietnamese players go to Japan to play, they need to be more proactive in building relationships and connecting with teammates to integrate better."
In the context of J.League 1 having an open policy and mechanism for players from Southeast Asia. Southeast Asian players playing in Japan will not be counted as foreign players. Hopefully, there will be SLNA players in particular and Vietnamese players playing on the J.League 1 field - Asia's top tournament in the near future.
