Player who broke ribs of former U19 Vietnam star miraculously escapes punishment
Despite committing a dangerous foul that caused former U19 Vietnam star Pham Truong Tinh to break his ribs and puncture his lung, Nguyen Hai Huy still miraculously escaped punishment.
In the match between Sanna Khanh Hoa BVN - Than Quang Ninh in round 5 of V.League at 19/8 stadium, Nguyen Hai Huy of Than Quang Ninh committed a very dangerous foul on the home team's player.
Specifically, in a dispute in the 62nd minute, Nguyen Hai Huy kicked Pham Truong Tinh, causing the former U19 Vietnam player to collapse on the field and had to be rushed to the ambulance.
The hospital examination results showed that Truong Tinh had a fractured rib number 7 and a partially collapsed lung. With this injury, the former U19 Vietnam player will need 6-8 weeks to recover. This situation only resulted in Hai Huy receiving a yellow card from the main referee.
The Provincial Boss later spoke up: "Before the collision, the referee blew the whistle. I was standing right near where the ball fell and was just planning to swing my leg to kick the ball away, then run back to my own field. Mr. Hai Huy was standing about 2 meters away, he rushed up and jumped on me. Maybe it was a deliberate move."
Coach Vo Dinh Tan and the leaders of Khanh Hoa Club both believe that Hai Huy deserves a penalty. However, on the morning of April 19, the VFF Disciplinary Board announced the decision to discipline violations in round 5 of V.League but did not include Hai Huy's name. This means that the Than Quang Ninh player will not receive any additional punishment for this incident.
Nguyen Hai Huy has been a mainstay of Than Quang Ninh for the past few seasons. The player born in 1991 is considered the best central midfielder in the current V.League. Hai Huy and Luong Xuan Truong are two midfielders who have scored 2 goals this season.
