Vietnam's longest sea-crossing bridge is about to open to traffic
Project Management Unit 2 (PMU 2) under the Ministry of Transport - said: It is expected that on September 4, the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Highway Project (Hai Phong City), which is also the longest sea-crossing bridge in Vietnam, will be opened to traffic and put into operation.

The Tan Vu - Lach Huyen highway project has a total investment of nearly 11,850 billion VND, 15.6km long, passing through Hai An district and Cat Hai district of Hai Phong city.
The project includes road and bridge sections, of which the sea crossing section is 5.44km long, the bridge surface is 16m wide, and designed with 4 lanes.
According to PMU 2, the total value of the project's output has reached 98%. The investment policy for the construction of the Tan Vu interchange has been approved by the Government Office and the Ministry of Transport to put the project into operation in two phases.

Phase 1, in September 2017, will be completed and put into operation the section from Km2+810 to Km15+630, that is, from intersection No. 1 connecting the road with the Southwest axis of Dinh Vu Industrial Park and Lach Huyen port gate.
Phase 2, expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018, will build Tan Vu intersection and put into operation the section from Km0+000 (intersection with Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway) to Km2+810, along with Tan Vu grade-separated intersection.
PMU 2 said that it is expected that on September 4, the Tan Vu - Lach Huyen Highway Project will be technically opened to traffic and put into operation and use.

This August, the State Council for Acceptance of Construction Works will conduct a final inspection of the Project and evaluate the quality of the project before opening to traffic in September./.
