Banana trees are used in medicine.
Here are some medicinal remedies that use ingredients from the banana plant.
To treat ringworm and some types of skin fungus: cut a green banana in half and rub it vigorously on the affected area. Afterwards, you can apply an extract from the bark of the Terminalia catappa tree; this will be very effective.
Treatment of urinary stones: Take unripe banana fruit, slice it thinly, dry it in the sun, roast it until golden brown, and brew it into a tea. Use 30-50g each time, drinking it after meals. Alternatively, you can use banana seeds, grind them into a powder, and brew it as an infusion to drink daily.
Treatment for back pain and bone pain: Take 200-300g of sliced, dried wild banana, crush it into powder, and soak it in 1 liter of 35-40% alcohol for 2-3 weeks. Drink 30-50ml 2-3 times a day before meals.

Both the banana plant and its fruit have medicinal properties.
Preventing and treating stomach ulcers: Slice unripe bananas thinly, dry them in the sun or in a dryer at a temperature of about 50-60°C, then grind them into a fine powder. Take 20-30g with warm water 2-3 times a day.
To reduce fever, relieve heatstroke, and treat diabetes: The core of the pseudostem (the part above ground), which contains a lot of sap and has a cooling effect, can be eaten raw as a vegetable. It can also be used as medicine by chopping it finely, crushing it, and squeezing out the juice to drink. Alternatively, take a piece of bamboo or reed, cut one end at an angle, insert it into the middle of the banana tree trunk, and tie a plastic bag to the other end of the bamboo piece to collect the sap that flows out and drink it.
To stop bleeding from wounds and soothe burns: Crush young banana leaves and apply them to the wounds.
Treatment for bleeding hemorrhoids: Cook two bananas and eat them daily, several times a day.
Treatment for hematuria (blood in urine): Take 100g of banana root and 20g of Polygonum multiflorum, wash them thoroughly, crush them, and squeeze out the juice to drink.
To treat hypertension: boil the peel and stem of the Cavendish banana in water and drink the decoction daily, about 30-60g each time.
To treat boils, swelling, high fever, convulsions, delirium, dysentery, etc.: Take the root of the banana plant (including both Cavendish and Gros Michel bananas), wash it thoroughly, chop it into small pieces, crush it, and squeeze out the juice to drink. To treat lung heat, phlegm, and asthma: Take 60g of Cavendish bananas and 30g of fresh Portulaca oleracea, crush them, squeeze out the juice, heat it slightly, and drink.
