Tears in the eyes with the letter of gratitude from a former student from Nghe An mountainous region to his teachers
"The whole class used to "rebel" by skipping class, not listening to lectures, finding every way to oppose and challenge teachers, secretly throwing stones and sticking notes behind teachers' backs... We are holding an apology from our teachers!"
A short letter of gratitude to teachers after nearly 20 years of meeting again was posted by a teacher and is being shared on social networks with emotion and choking.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, a Literature teacher in Nghe An - the person who shared the letter, said that this was a letter from her classmates from the 1996-2000 junior high school class sent to the teachers of Chi Khe Junior High School, Con Cuong, Nghe An. Recently, after nearly 20 years, at the suggestion of some people, old friends from different places, gathered together to express their gratitude to the teachers.
Dear teachers!
18 years - a long journey of a lifetime. And now, we understand even more that it is too long, too cruel for a class of students to return to visit their teachers and old school.
We are still the same. Still naughty children who never grow up when relying on the tolerance, love, and sincerity of our teachers. Class 9A, 1996-2000, we consider ourselves a class of students with naughty students, bringing a lot of trouble to our teachers and the school.
The whole class used to "rebel" by skipping class, not listening to lectures, finding every way to oppose and challenge, secretly throwing stones and sticking notes behind teachers' backs...
We are holding out an apology to our teachers!
Many of our classmates were "threatened" to stand on the flagpole, change classes, or be expelled from school.... But no, our teachers helped us overcome that teenage crisis with perseverance, patience, and acceptance, not with punishment.
We are keeping your word of thanks!
Secondary school teachers are the ones who help students overcome the most difficult stages of adulthood, are the ones who ferry students with the most love and affection... but are also the ones most easily "forgotten" by students.
We have been keeping our teachers' words of love and gratitude for nearly 20 years.
All of this, we cannot send in one meeting, let alone in a few words.
But we would like to thank the teachers for coming here with us today. So that we can always remind ourselves that, on our journey of growing up, in the life of every student... there are always teachers.

Teachers choked up at students' gratitude ceremony after nearly 20 years. |
Ms. Huyen confided that when they invited the teachers to attend the gratitude ceremony, many teachers burst into tears because it was the first time in their lives that a class of former students came back to express their gratitude and thanks to their teachers. Some teachers even held the invitation letter to their chest while sleeping...
Most of the teachers who taught at that time were retired, many were old, some were sick and bedridden... Her classmates at that time were very mischievous, playing pranks, thinking back I felt sorry for the teachers and avoided the impulsive youth.
"We are very sorry that it took us such a long time to return to our old school to meet and thank our teachers... For a long time, students have mainly held reunions and expressed gratitude at high school, but have not remembered much about their teachers at middle school. Meanwhile, these are the teachers who work the hardest and are under the most pressure because students at this age are very rebellious," Ms. Huyen shared.
At the same time, the young teacher also advised that if possible, please visit your old teachers. Teachers are old and weak, what they need most is the love of their former students.
When the letter of gratitude was shared on social media, many people's eyes were filled with tears. Many teachers saw their own image and wishes in it, and many students were choked up, "wanting to go back to their old school to visit their teachers right away."
Le Thanh An, a student in Ho Chi Minh City, said that her class had only been together with her old high school class. After reading the letter, she is calling on her friends to hold a class reunion this Tet, a reunion of the middle school teachers. Because she misses them so much, is so attached to them, the teachers are so loving and tolerant... but when they graduate, not many people remember their teachers.
