The oak tree "attached" to Trump and planted with Macron mysteriously disappeared
The young oak tree was a gift from the French president to his American counterpart during his recent visit to Washington.

The oak tree was a gift from President Macron to President Trump during his visit to the US on April 23 to mark the 250th anniversary of US-France relations. It was taken from the Belleau Forest in northeastern France, the site of a major World War I battle where 1,811 US Marines died in June 1918.
"100 years ago, American soldiers fought at Belleau to defend French freedom. This oak tree (my gift to Mr. Trump) will be a reminder in the White House of the deep ties that unite our two peoples," President Macron wrote on Twitter.
On April 23, after Mr. Macron arrived in Washington, the two presidents planted this oak tree together with a golden shovel, witnessed by the two first ladies, Brigitte Macron and Melania Trump.
