(Baonghean.vn) – According to Nghe An Newspaper reporters, nearly 40,000 online tickets were sold out just minutes after going on sale. Malaysian fans have no choice but to buy tickets directly at the counter. To own a ticket to watch the first leg of the AFF Cup final is now no different from a battle outside Bukit Jalil Stadium.

At 10am on December 9, the Football Association of Malaysia opened ticket sales at Bukit Jalil Stadium, but by 9pm on December 8, nearly ten thousand home fans had lined up in front of the stadium. The scene was even more impressive than the atmosphere of Vietnamese fans hunting for tickets to watch the match against Malaysia in the group stage.

According to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), more than 6,000 people had lined up since 10pm. At 1am on December 9, according to Nghe An Newspaper reporters, there were nearly 10,000 people. Although the number of buyers was beyond imagination, everyone lined up very orderly and patiently.

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) General Secretary Stuart Ramalingam said that fans who came to Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand) to cheer for their team in the second leg of the AFF Cup 2018 semi-final will be given free tickets to the first leg of the AFF Cup 2018 final at Bukit Jalil Stadium on December 11.

On the FAM website, FAM hopes fans will understand that they cannot guarantee that everyone will have tickets: "For those fans who are unable to purchase tickets, FAM hopes that they will not be disappointed as the stadium capacity cannot accommodate everyone. FAM has worked hard to ensure that supporters can purchase tickets for this game, but cannot accommodate everyone."
