Fans carrying Korean flags and photos of Coach Park Hang-seo on the streets to celebrate Vietnam's victory

At 8:30 p.m. on December 2, less than 10 minutes after the referee blew the whistle to end the first leg of the semi-final between Vietnam and the Philippines, with the red team winning 2-1, the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake were packed with fans pouring in from all directions.

Mixed in with the red flag with yellow star is the national flag of South Korea - the homeland of the head coach of the Vietnamese team - Mr. Park Hang-seo.

After topping Group A and continuing to win the first leg of the semi-finals at the home ground of the Philippines team, Coach Park was praised and thanked by fans.

Meanwhile, the security forces, despite having to work hard to regulate traffic and control possible violent situations, still kept smiling because they were happy with the victory of the Vietnamese players.

The father took his young son out into the streets to join the joyful atmosphere everywhere in the capital.

Not only using cars and motorbikes, many people also mobilized other means of transport such as tricycles and trucks to celebrate.

The 'Western man' high-fived the Vietnamese boy who was walking out with his parents at nearly 10pm.

Many people used cameras and phones to record the joyful moments of the people.

Joy appeared on every face along with the hope that the Vietnamese team would overcome the semi-finals and the final to win the gold cup after 10 years, since the championship in 2008.
