Due to a calf injury, Tevez was unable to participate in Shanghai Shenhua's match against Changchun Yatai on April 15. But instead of choosing to go to the stadium to cheer on his teammates like many other players, Tevez and his family decided to visit Shanghai Disneyland.
Some fans took pictures of the 33-year-old player wearing a LeBron James shirt and happily playing in the park and posted them on social media. Immediately after, Chinese fans expressed anger at Tevez's unprofessional attitude.

“We have to pay Tevez tens of millions of dollars just for him to have a tour in Shanghai,” one fan mocked Tevez on the football website Hupu. Another fan was indignant: “I wonder if Shenhua paid for Tevez to go to Disneyland.”
However, Shanghai Shenhua Club confirmed that the team will not take disciplinary action against Tevez. Mr. Ma Yue - Shanghai Shenhua Club spokesman told AFP: "Tevez came to Disneyland as an individual, so there is no reason to punish him."
Since coming to China to play for Shanghai Shenhua, Tevez has only played 4 matches and scored 1 goal. Shanghai Shenhua is currently ranked 9th in the Chinese Super League with only 7 points after the first 5 rounds.
