On May 2, Oscar Munoz, CEO of United Airlines, along with other US airline leaders, will face questions about the David Dao incident and how to improve the relationship between airlines and passengers, according to ABC.
The move comes nearly a month after Vietnamese-American doctor David Dao was dragged off a United Airlines plane on April 9. Dao lost teeth, suffered a broken nose, and suffered other injuries. United Airlines reached a settlement with Dao, but the amount was not disclosed.
The US House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure hopes that with the hearing, they can find ways to avoid similar incidents from happening in the future.
