Mentally ill father hacked two children to death
Seeing his son playing at a neighbor's house, Dinh Van Theo chased and used a machete to slash his son to death. In 2016, this man also slashed another of his children to death.
On July 17, Quang Ngai Provincial Police organized a crime scene investigation into a murder that occurred in Long Son Commune (Minh Long District, Quang Ngai Province).
According to initial information, at around 9:30 a.m. on July 17, Dinh Van Theo (born in 1978) returned from working in the fields and saw his son, D.VT (born in 2010), playing with his friends at a neighbor's house. Seeing this, Dinh Van Theo immediately chased after his son with a machete and then slashed him to death.

Upon receiving the news, Quang Ngai Provincial Police arrived to examine the scene and investigate the incident. Currently, Quang Ngai Provincial Police have detained Dinh Van Theo.

In June 2016, Dinh Van Theo used a knife to kill another child born in 2008 and then attempted suicide by slitting his throat but failed.
Later, the authorities determined that Dinh Van Theo had a mental illness and sent him for compulsory treatment. After a period of treatment, Dinh Van Theo was returned to his hometown, where the heartbreaking murder of his child occurred.
