Father died after being tied to the bed by his two children
Seeing their father drunk and causing trouble with their mother, Luong's brothers tied him up in the room for many hours, causing the victim to suffocate.
On the afternoon of March 22, the People's Court of Ninh Thuan province sentenced Huynh Tan Luong (35 years old) to 8 years in prison, Huynh Tan Long (26 years old, Luong's younger brother) to 7 years in prison, both for the crime ofKilling.

According to the indictment, on the evening of August 11, 2018, Luong’s father (59 years old) returned home in Ninh Hai town, Ninh Hai district, smelling strongly of alcohol. He loudly cursed his wife and then smashed everything. Luong and Long were upset and tied their father to the bed in the room.
The next morning, Luong's mother discovered that her husband had died of suffocation. Her two children turned themselves in to the police.
"My father often drinks alcohol. Every time he gets drunk, he harasses my mother and breaks things. My mother and I have endured this for many years. That day, because he couldn't control himself, the incident happened," Luong mumbled in court.
