Designed to be spacious, modern and ensure 8 lanes of traffic, Vinh City residents are always proud to have such an avenue. But on this most modern street in the city, there is still a situation where buffaloes and cows are allowed to graze freely, leisurely grazing in the middle of the road.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, a resident of Hamlet 20, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City, she said indignantly: Buffaloes and cows are still regularly grazed here, no one watches or manages them. People here cannot plant any trees because as soon as they are planted, buffaloes and cows come in and eat them all.

Ms. Tam added that the buffaloes and cows were released by local people (Nghi Phu) early in the morning, the herd had dozens of them walking leisurely on the avenue, even eating grass and ornamental plants planted as median strips on the road.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, a worker at Vinh City Green Tree Joint Stock Company, was equally indignant: We are the ones who directly take care of the trees on this route. The trees have difficulty growing and are often destroyed by local buffaloes and cows. They often come here to eat grass, eat leaves, and even trample on them, causing them to fall. We, the workers who take care of the trees, have to accept monthly salary deductions if the trees are damaged by buffaloes and cows.

Not only that, Ms. Nguyet also said that many times she and other workers complained to the owners of the cows and received the answer: "If you can catch the cows, then just catch them. We can't do anything more because everyone in the village and commune lets them go like that."

Workers of Vinh City Green Tree Joint Stock Company have to constantly watch and chase away cattle from grazing and destroying trees, but this solution seems to only be a temporary solution.

It is known that this situation has been going on for quite a long time and quite often without any effective solution from the authorities. We hope that the relevant levels and sectors will soon take drastic measures to help preserve the urban beauty and ensure the safety of traffic participants when passing through this road.
