Stopped a refrigerated truck carrying nearly 10 tons of 'dirty' meat that smelled bad

At around 3:00 a.m. on May 16, on National Highway 10, passing through Thuy Nguyen District (Hai Phong), the Ben Binh Station traffic police discovered a refrigerated truck with similar characteristics to the vehicle reported to be transporting unsanitary meat and animal organs from the South to Quang Ninh Province for consumption, so they conducted an administrative inspection.

Driver Nguyen Thanh Phong could not produce invoices or documents proving the origin of nearly 10 tons of rotting meat and animal organs. Mr. Phong said he was only a hired driver.

The incident was reported to the authorities of Hai Phong city by the traffic police at Ben Binh station. This afternoon, the People's Committee of Thuy Nguyen district sent the entire batch of "dirty" food to be burned.
