On the afternoon of December 11, Le Van Tuan (Tao Son commune, Anh Son) moved and impressed delegates attending the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union.

On the afternoon of December 11, Le Van Tuan participated in the discussion by telling his own story, which moved many people.

During the discussion at the forum, Tuan boldly stood up, took the microphone, and shared his own life story in a sincere and emotional way.

After completing his military service and returning to his hometown, Le Van Tuan enrolled in a vocational training course to start a business in Vinh City. However, disaster struck when Tuan was repairing electricity for a relative and was electrocuted. After the accident, doctors had to amputate both of Tuan’s hands. Both of his legs were also seriously injured.

At that time, Tuan completely collapsed. Although his life was saved, he always thought he was useless. There was a time when he asked his family to donate his organs because "if he didn't donate, there would be no point in doing anything."

Seeing his parents and relatives suffering so much, Tuan began to think differently. Although he no longer had arms, he was still lucid and knew about electricity and computers after studying. Tuan thought that he had to start over, had to be independent so that his parents would not suffer because "no matter what, he had to continue living".

Thinking is doing, after the wounds on his hands and feet healed, Tuan started his training journey. Step by step, like a three-year-old child, Tuan tried to do the simplest things for himself, such as holding a spoon to eat rice and serving himself; learning how to use the phone, using a screwdriver with his amputated hands...

After 3 years of training, Tuan could take care of himself and learn more about computers and phones. He boldly borrowed money to open a computer repair shop. This was also one of the first shops in Tao Son commune - something that healthy, normal people did not dare to think of.

Tuan's shop quickly attracted customers. Tuan not only became the boss but also a teacher - training a number of young people and supporting them to work right at his shop.

Not stopping there, Tuan also participated in many local union and association activities and became a shining example, a strong example for the youth union members of Tao Son commune as well as Anh Son district.

At the end of his presentation at the forum, Tuan did not hesitate to perform a song.

“I would like to thank my parents, family, siblings and relatives. Especially the youth union and association at all levels who have always supported and accompanied me. I feel like I was born again. Through this, I hope that young people will try their best. Absolutely do not give up in any situation,” Tuan concluded his sharing, without hesitation performing a song, making the audience silent with emotion.

Two months ago, at the 6th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, Le Van Tuan also made many people admire him with his speech.
