Waking up in the hospital with his hands no longer intact, the physical pain and mental pain made him lose faith in life. But with the will of a soldier, Tuan was determined not to surrender to fate. He thought, and tried first to do everything himself from personal hygiene to helping everyone in the family with light tasks. Tuan started practicing carrying things with... his elbows. Then from carrying things, holding things, Tuan gradually learned jobs that required more dexterity such as writing and repairing objects.

When all the work gradually became familiar and proficient, Tuan decided to go to vocational school to earn money to support his life and to show everyone that no matter what, he is still a useful person to society. Realizing that the demand for computers of the people is quite high but in the commune there are no computer repairmen or dealers, so in August 2015 Tuan went to study information technology in Vinh city.

After 1 year of studying, in August 2016, Tuan returned to his hometown to borrow capital to open a shop specializing in repairing and selling computers and phones. At first, there were few customers because many people were still afraid that "a good person would not know how to repair, let alone someone who had lost both hands". Besides, there were some curious people who came to try repairing, seeing the way Tuan worked, skillfully and quickly as usual, careful and thoughtful, so the customers spread the word and came more and more.
Tuan shared: "The more difficult the situation, the more grateful I feel. Grateful to my parents for giving birth to me, grateful to those who always encourage me in difficult times, because of them, Tuan has to promise himself to strive to not disappoint or upset anyone...".
Now, with a small shop and repair and trading jobs, Tuan can support himself and his parents.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duc - Secretary of the Tao Son Commune Youth Union said: Le Van Tuan is truly an example of overcoming difficulties and rising up. Le Van Tuan's determination has become a strong source of inspiration for young people and other disabled and unfortunate people.
