The only Nghe An boy to receive the Youth Award for Community Contribution
(Baonghean.vn) - Nguyen Khac Cuong is one of 70 volunteer leaders who have just been honored by the Vietnam Volunteer Community and awarded the "Youth Contributing to the Community 2017" award.
On December 5, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Volunteer Community held a ceremony to honor 70 leaders and award the “Youth for Community Dedication 2017” award. Nguyen Khac Cuong (31 years old, residing in Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city, Nghe An) is the only Nghe An person to receive this title.

Nguyen Khac Cuong is currently a teacher of autistic and hyperactive children at a specialized center in Nghe An. Cuong was born with a congenital disability, limping, unable to do heavy work, and unable to bend or squat.
Cuong volunteers in three areas: community volunteering, education, and environment. He is the leader and founder of the Nghe An 37 Youth for Community Social Activities organization since 2010.

With 4 criteria: "community solidarity, connecting hearts, sharing love, helping the poor", Cuong's organization has been very active in volunteer activities for many years. Such as the 2017 Warm Tet program (Dien Lam, Quy Chau), Charity singing every Saturday night at Nghe An Oncology Hospital, Green Sunday in Nghi Cong Bac commune (Nghi Loc district) and dozens of other meaningful charity programs... Cuong's organization has brought many meaningful gifts worth hundreds of millions of VND and most of all, shared the difficulties, comforted the spirit of many poor people in the community...

Thanks to his active and compassionate activities, Nguyen Khac Cuong has continuously received certificates of merit from Vinh City Youth Union, Tuong Duong and Que Phong districts... over the past many years.
The "Youth dedicated to the community" award, organized by the Vietnam Volunteer Community, is presented to outstanding leaders of clubs, associations, teams, and groups across the country who have made outstanding contributions and achievements in volunteer work for the community, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. After a month of launching and selection, nomination rounds, direct candidacy and online voting based on criteria set by the Organizing Committee, 70 outstanding volunteer leaders from clubs, associations, teams and groups across the country gathered in the capital to attend this meaningful honoring ceremony. Those 70 leaders must be truly exemplary and have a unique influence on the community, especially on the future young generation of the country.
