Love-sick guy gives girlfriend a bouquet of 1,000 roses

The man sent a bouquet of white and red roses to his girlfriend in the capital Tashkent, southeastern Uzbekistan, to express his feelings, Mirror reported.

The huge bouquet, made up of 1,000 flowers, was so large that it had to be transported by truck and carried by four people when it was delivered to the girl. It was placed outside a building and attracted the attention of passersby, many of whom took photos and posted them online.

The bouquet is estimated to be worth around £2,400 ($3,700) and must have taken the florist several days to complete.

Photos of the delivery men posting the flowers to the recipient on Facebook, Drivers of Tashkent, have been liked by thousands of people. It is unclear how the man’s crush reacted to the bouquet, which was so large that it could not be carried into his apartment.

Some members of Uzbekistan's Vkontake social network expressed their disapproval of the young man's romantic actions, saying that this was a waste.

Meanwhile, many women commented that the guy should spend the money on something more durable and valuable, such as a gift or a ring. Others joked that at least no one would try to steal the bouquet, because it was too bulky.
