Vietnamese guy in America excited about U23 makes neighbors call the police
Overjoyed with the victory of U23 Vietnam over Qatar, Mr. Luan Nguyen screamed loudly at midnight, causing his neighbors to complain to the police.
"Right now I don't know how to define emotions anymore. It's so hard to describe!", Mr. Luan shared withVnExpressfrom New Mexico, USA right after the victory called the name of the U23 Vietnam team.

He said that 11 years since coming to the US to study, work and live, this was the first time he and his wife were determined to stay up all night to watch a match of the Vietnamese team. "Watching clips on VnExpress about the victory of the Vietnamese team over Iraq in the quarter-finals, seeing people in my hometown pouring into the streets to dance and celebrate, the emotions naturally welled up and tears flowed in my eyes," he said. "So my wife and I decided to watch the semi-finals."
That evening, they drove from the wife's parents' house toin time for the ball to roll.1am, whenThe opening whistle blew in Changzhou, China, and Luan and his wife made coffee and fried some dried fish brought from Vietnam to enjoy while cheering.
The moment Quang Hai scored the second goal to equalize for Vietnam after suffocating minutes of being behind, Mr. Luan and his wife burst into extreme happiness.
"It was 2-3am in New Mexico and I was so happy I was screaming. I didn't expect it to be so loud,"The neighbors called the police," said Mr. Luan. "I had to explain to the police officer the importance of this match and invite him to come watch the game with me, but he refused. The police then understood and sympathized with me. He just gently advised me not to make noise so as not to affect the people around me."
Mr. Luan added that when leaving, the male police officer did not forget to turn back and then smile.said "Good luck, I hope Vietnam wins".

"I was really happy. I couldn't sleep after the match so I went online to share my feelings with everyone until morning," he said.
He plans to meet his neighbors today to apologize and explain about the screaming last night. This weekend, he and his wife, halfway around the world, will stay up all night again to cheer on the U23 Vietnam team in the championship match against Uzbekistan.
Watching the match between Uzbekistan and South Korea, he was quite worried because Vietnam's opponent in the final was quite strong: "I don't dare to dream too much, but I still hope our team will win.
The final match between Vietnam and Uzbekistan will take place at 3pm on Saturday, January 27. "I will definitely learn from this match."I don't shout anymore, but I really lost my voice," he laughed.
