Chapecoense wins first title since plane crash
Brazilian football team Chapecoense won the second stage of the Campeonato Catarinense tournament with one round to spare.
Chapecoense beat Joinville 2-0 on April 16. The win meant the Chapeco team maintained their four-point lead over second place and clinched the second-phase title with a game to spare.

In the early stages,Chapecoense finished second behind Avai. The two teams will play a two-legged final in May to determine the season's champion.
Chapecoense lost almost their entire team when a plane crashed in Colombia in November 2016. The accident killed 71 people and left only three players alive.
After the disaster,Chapecoense are doing everything they can to rebuild the team. The 2016 Copa Sudamericana champions have also borrowed a number of players from fellow Brazilian clubs.
