Fat helps with weight loss.
Scientists have concluded that maintaining a moderate amount of fat in the diet is more effective for weight loss than completely eliminating fat from the diet.
What should be done to fundamentally change one's diet? American scientists recommend reviewing the menu to achieve balance, ensuring that daily meals include sufficient amounts of fat, mostly from vegetables. Why is that?

Vegetable oil
Researchers monitored the diets of two groups of test subjects. The first group completely abstained from fat. The second group had a diet that included vegetable oil in moderate amounts. The results showed that those in the first group were unable to maintain the fat-free diet for an extended period. Initially, they lost some weight, but then stopped the diet and quickly regained the lost weight. Meanwhile, those in the second group, who consumed vegetable oil, lost an average of 4 kg more than the first group. And over the 1.5-year period, more than 50% of those in the second group continued their diet without experiencing any adverse health effects.
In recent decades, numerous studies worldwide have shown that consuming large amounts of fat and products high in fat not only increases body weight but also contributes to cardiovascular diseases and their complications, such as myocardial infarction and stroke. Fat in a healthy diet can account for 30-35% of total calories. However, it is noteworthy that over one-third of the population currently consumes animal-based fats containing saturated fatty acids, fatty acid metabolites, and cholesterol, which exacerbate these diseases.
We should replace most animal fats with vegetable oils such as sunflower oil, olive oil, soybean oil, corn oil, and other liquid oils that do not contain "heavy" fatty acids and cholesterol. Vegetable oils should make up two-thirds of our fat intake to ensure a balanced and healthy diet.
Vegetable oils contain unsaturated fatty acids. These regulate fat metabolism in the human body, preventing obesity and contributing to the formation of healthy fat molecules in the blood. This prevents the accumulation of cholesterol in blood vessel walls and the development of atherosclerosis.
It's important to note that reducing animal fat intake while still consuming carbohydrate-rich foods—including those high in sugar—will not be effective for maintaining good health, as it will lead to weight gain and the development of diabetes.
