The quality of seawater environment at beaches in Nghe An meets standards.
(Baonghean.vn) - That is the result announced by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Nghe An in Report No. 1834/STNMT-MT, on reporting the results of monitoring the quality of seawater environment.
Implementing the program of monitoring seawater quality during the tourist season under the Environmental Monitoring Program of Nghe An province in 2019, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Nghe An reported the results of the first phase of seawater quality monitoring on April 1, 2019, as follows:
- Monitoring locations at 4 beaches: Quynh Phuong, Dien Thanh, Cua Lo and Cua Hoi.
- Monitoring parameters: 13 parameters, including temperature, pH, Dissolved oxygen, turbidity, salinity, suspended solids, Ammonium, Phosphate, Cyanide, Arsenic, Manganese, Iron, Coliform.
- Comparison standard: QCVN 10-MT: 2015/BTNMT-National technical regulation on coastal seawater for bathing and water sports areas.

The analysis results show:
Environmental quality at Quynh Phuong, Cua Lo and Cua Hoi beaches reached 13/13 values of parameters within the allowable limits of the Standard.
Particularly, the seawater environment at Dien Thanh beach has a suspended solid content exceeding the standard by 1.68 times; the remaining monitoring parameters (12/13) are all within the allowable limits of the Standard.
