Clean water quality is the top priority

(Baonghean) - The 13 water supply systems of Nghe An Water Supply Company Limited have a total capacity of nearly 100,000 m3/day and night and all apply quite modern technology and production equipment.

Hung Vinh Water Plant has a capacity of 60,000 m3/day and produces clean water on modern European production lines and equipment. Over the past time, the water quality of the plant has been stable and highly appreciated by customers, especially during the peak months of summer 2016. As a result, in addition to applying modern technology, Hung Vinh Water Plant also uses raw water from Lam River (coordinating with Song Lam Joint Stock Company to provide safe and stable raw water for Hung Vinh and Cau Bach plants to replace the previous Dao River water source).

Mr. Le Duc Thang - Director of Hung Vinh Water Plant said: “In addition to paying attention to water quality (from the source to customers), the plant has invested in building a laboratory with modern equipment that can test 15 indicators (criterion A) and monitor and inspect water quality after treatment 24/24 hours. Along with that, we have strengthened industrial hygiene such as: flushing the ditch system, gutters, and discharging sludge according to regulations, and also adjusting to increase preliminary chlorination before bringing raw water into treatment to increase safety in disinfection, treatment of organic compounds, odors…”.

Recently, Hung Vinh Water Plant has boldly used PAC water treatment chemicals to replace traditional alum. This method increases the cost, but ensures the stability of clean water quality for people. In the first 7 months of 2016, the plant produced and supplied customers with more than 9 million m3 of clean water.

Always focusing on improving the quality of clean water, so in the process of investing in the construction of water supply systems, the issue of modern production technology is always a top priority. Therefore, in the water supply project in the vicinity of Vinh and industrial parks (ODA capital from Finland), the company has selected modern technology and equipment through international bidding. The Vinh Suburban Water Plant has applied modern technology and machinery from Europe (EU), especially the automatic control system of Rockwell - USA, this is one of the most modern systems today. With that synchronous investment, the Vinh Suburban Water Plant is considered a project with modern technology and equipment, among the top in the water plant system in Vietnam.

Mr. Phan Cong Hoa - Deputy Director of Vinh Suburban Water Plant said: "The plant has a capacity of 20,000 m3/day and is produced using modern technology, equipment and machinery, so the clean water is of high quality. From the investment stage, the raw water source through the clean water treatment process to the clean water supply system is strictly managed and monitored. Due to the application of high technology, each production shift has only 3 managers and workers operating at the plant."

The water supply plant in Vinh vicinity and industrial parks helps customers of Vinh city, surrounding areas and Cua Lo town, Bac Vinh industrial park, Nam Cam have a stable water source, ensuring quality according to the standards of the Ministry of Health. In the first 7 months of 2016, the plant produced more than 1.6 million m3.

In recent times, the company has innovated its management and operation and successfully applied the Scanda management system using high technology with modern computer equipment, helping the unit monitor water pressure on the entire water supply pipeline network, thereby proactively regulating and providing timely water to customers in the area.
