The “catalyst” that helps Russia become powerful
A survey shows that nearly 50% of Russians believe that President Vladimir Putin, military capabilities and national spirit are the main reasons why Russia has become a powerful country.

RT cited the results of a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) in late April, saying that about 49% of the country's population thinks Russia is a great power. This figure is lower than last year's index, 57%.
About a third of those asked answered that they believe that Russia will become the world's leading country within the next 10-15 years.
Responding to the question of what makes Russia a powerful and respected country, 26% chose Moscow's powerful military, 22% chose the "iron" spirit and will of the Russian people, and 17% answered that it was President Vladimir Putin.
About 18% said that Russia's greatest success in the past decade was the reform and development of its military, while 12% said it was the annexation of Crimea.
Another VTsIOM survey in April found that 83% of Russians said they were happy. When asked to define happiness, 30% said it was their family, 16% said it was good health, 14% said they had a good job and 13% said it was their children.
Over the past 10 years, the Russian military has made significant progress, from successfully researching and putting into service advanced military equipment systems, contributing a strong voice in the global anti-terrorism movement, increasing the number of active troops and focusing on improving military resources, as well as developing the "nuclear triad" to enhance strategic deterrence.
