Europe accuses Germany of betrayal, breaking sanctions against Russia
Germany is accused of breaking sanctions against Russia and betraying the EU because of the actions of its Prime Minister.
As it is known, Merkel held a meeting with the head of the Russian General Staff and a meeting with Putin - this is Germany's betrayal of its EU partners, writes correspondent Zbigniew Parafianovich.

Gazeta Prawna stressed that all the consequences of violating Russia's isolation regime will seriously affect Ukraine, Poland and the Baltic countries.
Previously, the head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, was banned from entering the European Union, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and Liechtenstein due to his involvement in the annexation of Crimea and the war in eastern Ukraine. However, Chancellor Angela Merkel met him in Germany in late July 2018.
The meeting between the Russian President and the German Chancellor took place on August 18 in Mezeberg, not far from the country's capital.
Government spokesman Steffen Scheibert said the main topics of the meeting were related to issues from the conflicts in Ukraine and Syria as well as Iran and the gas pipeline project that the United States opposes.
As a result, on Ukraine, Ms Merkel said she hoped new efforts would be made at the start of the new school year to resolve the issue of Ukrainian military forces and separatists in the Donbass region.
Regarding the Nord Stream 2 project to transport gas from Russia to Germany via the Baltic Sea, Ms. Merkel said Ukraine would continue to play a role in the transit of gas to Europe, welcoming the start of discussions between the European Union (EU), Russia and Ukraine on the issue.
Regarding the situation in Syria, both leaders expressed concern about Syria and the situation of millions of refugees. Both sides agreed to work to prevent a humanitarian crisis in Idlib, Syria and the surrounding area.
The German Chancellor’s meetings indirectly broke Gerasimov’s isolation and betrayed the EU. This action by Germany has and will weaken the security of NATO’s eastern flank. However, German politicians believe that the warming of relations between Russia and Germany is a good sign.
The source recalled that it was Germany's previous weak actions that contributed to the Georgia scenario in 2008 and the subsequent annexation of Crimea, and now this action could also lead to a similar scenario.
It would not be surprising if in the next few months Russia takes control of a Ukrainian port on the Sea of Azov.
Experts say that the Germans are well aware of Russia's great capabilities. They are not naive and know that cooperation with Russia will affect their ally.
However, in reality the consequences of this move will not negatively affect them, instead Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic countries or Romania will have to bear the brunt.
This action by Germany is no different from their actions against European partners and will gradually reduce their important role in the EU and lose their prestige.
