Europe shaken by the death of a migrant child.

(Baonghean.vn) - On September 3rd, the front pages of European newspapers such as The Independent, The Guardian, The Times, The DailyMail… and a series of social media sites simultaneously published a photograph of a child's death on a Turkish beach. The photograph partly exposed the harsh reality on the "journey to death" for migrants.

A child wearing a red shirt and blue pants lying face down on the sand in Bodrum, Türkiye, has become the cover image of numerous major European newspapers. According to Turkish media, the child in the photo is a 3-year-old Syrian boy named Aylan Kurdi. Even more heartbreaking is that Aylan's older brother, Galip, 5 years old, also perished in a second shipwreck that occurred on the night of September 1st/early morning of September 2nd in a Turkish coastal town. It is highly likely that the family was from the city of Kobani, where fierce fighting is taking place between the Turkish army and ISIS.

On social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, it's not difficult to find pictures of Aylan with the keyword "KiyiyaVuranlnsanlik," which means "shipwreck" in Turkish. Numerous users also shared images of Aylan Kurdi's death with captions such as "These pictures silenced the world," "A symbol of the migration tragedy," etc.

The photograph of Aylan Kurdi's death has once again sparked strong reactions across Europe. Many European newspapers expressed outrage and condemned the political class's inaction in allowing humanitarian disasters to unfold before their eyes.
