(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Nguyen Van Tu - Chairman of Thanh Huong Commune People's Committee (Thanh Chuong) said that he has completed the documents and handed over the abandoned 2-month-old baby to a foster family.

At the end of the expanded conference chaired by the Fatherland Front and the People's Committee of Thanh Huong commune on the morning of September 28, the decision on who will adopt the child has not yet been made. The two families of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa in Block 5, Dung Town and Ms. Nguyen Thi Dang in Hamlet 7, Thanh Huong Commune both want to adopt the child.

By the end of September 28, negotiations between the two families had not yielded any results. On the morning of September 29, the Thanh Huong Commune People's Committee was forced to resolve the matter according to the law, based on the specific conditions of each family. Nguyen Van Hoa's family was able to adopt the child.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tu said: “Ms. Dang is a poor household, and is sick, and does not have the conditions to take care of the child, so the commune decided to hand the child over to Mr. Hoa’s family. The adoption documents have been completed and the handover has taken place.”

It is known that after the decision of the Commune Chairman, the family of Mr. Nguyen Viet Binh - Ms. Tran Thi Oanh (who volunteered to take care of the baby for more than 20 days) handed over the baby to the couple of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa and Ms. Hoang Thi Dung at 11:00 a.m. the same day.

Mr. Hoa and Ms. Dung have been married for 11 years but have no children. When they heard that Thanh Huong commune had an abandoned baby, they filed a case and regularly went to take care of the baby.

Sharing his joy, after many days of waiting, Mr. Hoa said: "My wife and I are so happy to adopt the baby, we will try to raise him to be a good person."

Mr. Hoa "revealed" that the baby's mother had already given him a name, but now he and his wife will give him a new name.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper, at 7:00 p.m. on September 6, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dang (40 years old) in Hamlet 7, Thanh Huong Commune discovered an abandoned baby girl near a village intersection, along with a basket of clothes, milk and a letter.

This woman called everyone to bring the baby to her house and reported to the Thanh Huong Commune People's Committee. The authorities took the baby to the commune health station for care. The baby weighed 4.8 kg and was about 2 months old. In the letter left with the baby, it was stated that the person who gave birth was far away and due to circumstances could not raise the baby, so she wanted someone to help raise the baby and promised not to come back to look for the baby.

While waiting for relatives to come and claim the baby, Mr. Nguyen Viet Binh and his wife - a judicial officer of the commune - took care of and raised the baby. Recently, 25 sets of documents from infertile families inside and outside the commune have been sent to the People's Committee of Thanh Huong commune to adopt the baby./.
