Chau Quang (Quy Hop) received the Certificate of recognition as a New Rural Commune

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 26, Chau Quang commune, Quy Hop district held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition for meeting New Rural standards in 2015.

Implementing the program of building new rural areas, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Chau Quang commune have unanimously and actively participated in emulation movements, contributing labor and land to build technical infrastructure works to serve life and develop production.

Over the past 4 years, the whole commune has mobilized more than 117.95 billion VND to build traffic, irrigation, electricity, schools, cultural facilities...

People donated nearly 2 hectares of land, dismantled nearly 1,000 meters of fence and nearly 15 large and small constructions to build infrastructure.

Leaders of Quy Hop district on behalf of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the certificate of recognition of meeting New Rural standards to Chau Quang commune.

Currently, the rate of households using safe electricity regularly reaches 100%. The rate of cultural families annually reaches 85% or more; 24/26 hamlets and villages are recognized as cultural hamlets.

4/4 schools meet national standards and are cultural units. All hamlets and villages have internet access. 82% of households have waste treatment pits to ensure a clean environment and prevent environmental pollution; nearly 89% of households have access to clean, hygienic water.

Average income per capita in 2015 reached 27 million VND, an increase of 93.8% compared to 2010, an average annual increase of 18.8%. The annual poverty rate decreased by 3-4%, and by 2015 the whole commune was only 8.8%. The socio-political system has always been maintained. National defense and security work has always been highly appreciated by all levels, and the commune is safe in terms of security and order.

In 1998, Chau Quang was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State. In 2011, it was recognized as a cultural commune.

With the achieved results, Chau Quang is honored to be the 3rd commune of Quy Hop district to complete 19 criteria in the national criteria set for new rural construction recognized by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 5873/QD-UBND dated December 14, 2015 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

On this occasion, Chau Quang Commune People's Committee was awarded a welfare project worth 500 million VND by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, and Quy Hop District People's Committee was awarded a welfare project worth 200 million VND.

There were 4 collectives and 4 individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their achievements in the emulation movement "Nghe An joins hands to build new rural areas" in the period 2010-2015.
