Gas tank fire at kindergarten, more than 200 students evacuated
(Baonghean.vn) - When the kitchen staff of Hoang Tru Kindergarten turned on the gas stove to cook, a fire suddenly broke out and engulfed two large gas cylinders.
On the morning of May 22, a fire broke out at Hoang Tru Kindergarten (Kim Lien Commune, Nam Dan District), forcing the school to evacuate more than 200 students.

At around 8am, the school’s cook went into the kitchen and turned on the gas stove to cook. Due to a leak in the gas tank, a fire caught and broke out. The cook panicked and reported it to the school authorities.
To ensure the safety of the students, the school evacuated more than 200 students to a safe place. At the same time, teachers tried to put out the fire and informed local authorities as well as the authorities.
Just a few minutes later, the Fire Police arrived at the scene to extinguish and control the fire. Fortunately, the gas tank did not explode and no one was injured in the fire.
"The kitchen area has two large gas cylinders. Initial assessment is that the cause of the fire was a gas leak in one of these cylinders," said Mr. Tran Le Chuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Lien commune.

The fire damaged a quantity of rice and kitchen equipment. Authorities have examined the scene to determine the exact cause of the fire.
After the fire, the school notified parents to come and pick up their children. The school is also cleaning up to welcome the children back to school tomorrow.
