Fire at Shanghai's largest agricultural market leaves 6 dead.

According to a report by China's Xinhua news agency on January 7, six people died and at least 10 others were injured in a fire at a farmers' market in Shanghai.

The fire broke out at around 8:30 PM on January 6th at a wholesale agricultural market located in Pudong District, Shanghai.

After the fire was extinguished, six people were confirmed dead and at least 10 injured were taken to hospital. Ma Bing, a doctor at Changhai Hospital in Shanghai, said the hospital received all eight patients, including three with severe burns.

According to Xinhua News Agency, the market in question is Shanghai's largest wholesale agricultural market. It is open all day.

Currently, firefighters are continuing to search for victims who may still be trapped in the rubble after the fire.
