Fire at bedding store, estimated damage of 1 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) – A fire broke out at around 2am on December 13 in Con Co hamlet, Nghia Loc commune (Nghia Dan), burning down a bedding store, causing estimated damage of about 1 billion VND.

On the afternoon of December 13, Mr. Ngo Sy Cuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Loc commune said that Nghe An Provincial Police and Nghia Dan District Police had completed the scene investigation to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire at a bedding store in the commune.

Earlier, at around 2am the same day, a fire broke out at the shop and house of Mr. Mai Van Trung's family in Con Ca hamlet, Nghia Loc commune. When the incident was discovered, the family opened the door, ran to ask for help from neighbors and reported to the local authorities. 4 people in the family, including 2 parents and 2 children, quickly escaped outside.

Immediately, the Nghia Loc commune authorities called the Nghia Dan district People's Committee and the fire prevention and fighting force. About 20 minutes later, about 50 officers and soldiers along with 3 fire trucks of Fire Prevention and Fighting Teams No. 3 and No. 4 were present at the scene to put out the fire.

Mr. Le Hong Son - Chairman of Nghia Dan District People's Committee personally arrived at the scene, directing the police and military forces to coordinate with local forces to deploy measures to quickly put out the fire.

Because the house contained flammable materials, the fire flared up even more, making it difficult to put out. After much effort, by about 3am, the fire was basically completely extinguished, preventing it from spreading to neighboring houses.

At the scene, the entire house was completely burned down, estimated damage after the fire was about 1 billion VND, no human casualties.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
