Straw warehouse fire, 2 children died of smoke inhalation

Three children were playing with fire near the straw warehouse, causing the straw to burst into flames. One child ran out to call for help, while the other two died of smoke inhalation on the spot.

At around 10am on October 22, a straw warehouse fire broke out in Tu Thanh village, An Linh commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province, killing two children on the spot. The victims were Pham Tan Truong (3 years old) and Nguyen Nhat Trieu (4 years old).

It is known that after school hours at Tu Thanh kindergarten, relatives took Truong, Trieu and Truong Minh Hoai (4 years old) to the house of Mr. Pham Tan Quang and Mrs. Nguyen Ngoc Tuyen (Truong's parents) to play.

At that time, all three children played with fire near the dry straw warehouse, causing the warehouse to burst into flames. Hoai ran outside to call for help, but no one came to their rescue. Truong and Trieu were suffocated by the thick smoke and died on the spot.
