Fire at the new World Trade Center in the US.

On the morning of August 8th, a fire broke out at the new World Trade Center building in New York City after welders working on the construction site encountered a technical problem.

According to initial reports from the New York State Fire Department, a small fire broke out on the 88th floor of the new World Trade Center Tower 1.

The building was under construction and was being built to replace the twin towers that were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Immediately after the fire broke out, nearly 100 firefighters were deployed to the scene, and the blaze was brought under control about an hour later.

There are currently no reports of casualties or damage caused by the fire.
