Julian Alvarez delays move to Atletico Madrid due to low salary
Julian Alvarez's transfer from Manchester City to Atletico Madrid is facing a hurdle regarding personal terms, specifically wages.
Salary is the main barrier
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain has offered a much more attractive salary than Atletico Madrid, up to 10 million euros/year after tax.

This significant difference has become a major obstacle to completing the deal. Alvarez is clearly looking for a higher-paying contract to match his talent.
The 22-year-old striker also expressed his desire to play regularly, especially in big matches. Having to be a "back-up" to Erling Haaland at Manchester City was one of the reasons he decided to leave.
Manchester City make big profit
The Citizens are expected to make a huge profit from selling Alvarez to Atletico Madrid.
They bought the player from River Plate for €16m two years ago and could now earn up to €95m from the deal.

Although there are some current problems with wages, experts believe that this deal will be completed soon. Atletico Madrid are very interested in signing Alvarez and they will try to meet the player's requirements.
