Complaining about low salary, Julian Alvarez delays going to Atletico Madrid
Julian Alvarez's transfer from Manchester City to Atletico Madrid is facing a hurdle regarding personal terms, specifically salary.
Salary is the main barrier
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain has offered a much more attractive salary than Atletico Madrid, up to 10 million euros/year after tax.

This significant difference has become the main obstacle to completing the deal. Alvarez is clearly looking for a contract with a higher salary to match his talent.
The 22-year-old striker also expressed his desire to play regularly, especially in big matches. Having to be a "back-up" to Erling Haaland at Manchester City was one of the reasons why he decided to leave.
Manchester City makes big profit
The Citizens are expected to make a huge profit from selling Alvarez to Atletico Madrid.
They bought the player from River Plate for 16 million euros two years ago and could now earn up to 95 million euros from the deal.

Although there are some problems with wages at the moment, experts believe that the deal will be completed soon. Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Alvarez and will try to meet his demands.
