The final match in London did not have a clear winner, meaning the race for the top four in the Premiership also remains without a pole position. Chelsea have the advantage, but Tottenham are still right behind them.

Manager Villas-Boas brought a very different Tottenham to Stamford Bridge this morning. A Spurs team that didn't launch an all-out attack right from the opening whistle, but instead deliberately slowed down the pace of the game. Even the speedy Gareth Bale played quietly, lacking his usual bursts of speed.

But despite the surprises from their opponents, Chelsea remained true to themselves, still dangerous in attack, especially in set pieces. In the 11th minute, using that very weapon, Juan Mata delivered a cross from the corner kick for Cahill to head the ball to Oscar, who calmly slotted the ball into Lloris's net from close range.

Chelsea always find it easier when they're leading, but it seems that complacency backfired. In the 26th minute, capitalizing on a counter-attacking error from both the Chelsea defense and goalkeeper Petr Cech, Adebayor spontaneously curled a beautiful shot into the top corner from outside the penalty area.

Unfortunately, Adebayor's spectacular goal was Tottenham's only notable moment in the first half. Chelsea dominated possession, and their second goal came as no surprise. In the 39th minute, Torres skillfully dribbled past defenders and delivered a perfect through pass to Ramires, putting the Blues ahead for the second time.

The first-half deficit brought Tottenham back to their senses. The first signs of speedy attacking play from Spurs began to appear in the second half, and Gareth Bale, who had been largely invisible in the first half, also showed more presence in the remaining 45 minutes.

The reality proved that attacking was still the best solution for Tottenham to avoid falling too far behind Chelsea. The pressure steadily increased on Cech's goal, and even though those attacks lacked a bit of precision, they still managed to make Chelsea more disorganized.

Slow and steady wins the race. Under suffocating pressure from their opponents, Chelsea were finally brought down. In the 80th minute, Adebayor received a pass from a teammate before executing an improvised backheel shot that put Sigurdsson in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. The goal was scored for Spurs with a precise shot.

Adebayor's goal makes it 1-1.

No further goals were scored in the remaining time. With one point, Chelsea remains in the best position in the race for the Top 4, but Tottenham hasn't given up yet.
