The latest developments show that the two teams are making moves to contact each other, not only about Nkunku, but also regarding Bayern's Mathys Tel.

Chelsea have officially opened the door for Nkunku to leave this summer, but have insisted there will be no concessions on the price. The Stamford Bridge club want the full £65m for the deal and will not accept any deal that includes add-ons. Chelsea paid more than €60m (£50m) to sign Nkunku from RB Leipzig in 2023 and he still has more than four years left on his contract.

Despite not being a regular in Chelsea's starting line-up, Nkunku is still considered a player with potential, with his versatile attacking ability and extensive playing experience. He is only 27 years old and is already a famous French international. During his time at RB Leipzig, Nkunku scored 69 goals and provided 53 assists in 171 appearances. At Chelsea, despite only starting 3 times in the Premier League this season, he still managed to contribute 13 goals in all competitions, sharing the top spot with Cole Palmer, although 11 of those have been scored in cup competitions.

Nkunku has also expressed his dissatisfaction with not playing regularly in the Premier League and this is also one of the reasons why he wants to leave to be able to secure a place in the French squad for the World Cup in North America next year, if they qualify. Chelsea's high price for Nkunku shows that they still believe in the player's value and will not accept any other favorable deal, and it will be a big challenge for Bayern if they really want to own the French player.
