Pedro, one of Chelsea's super subs under Antonio Conte, scored the only goal to give the Blues the win. The former Barca player took full advantage of a situation on the left flank by youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi to tap the ball in from close range.
The name that attracted the most attention from Chelsea on the evening of July 23, new player Jorginho, only played a mediocre role. He played the role of keeping the rhythm in the English club's attacks. With a passing accuracy rate of more than 90% in just 45 minutes on the field, the former Napoli player somewhat met the expectations that The Blues fans had for him.
Alvaro Morata, who has been linked with a move away to make way for Gonzalo Higuain, played well but did not show much for the hour.
After this match, Chelsea will fly to Nice, France to compete in the International Champions Cup. Their opponent will be Italian representative, Inter. The match will take place on July 28.
