Chevrolet Camaro will be officially sold in Vietnam

The new generation American sports car appeared at the auto show in Hanoi in the SS version, using a 6.2 liter V8 engine with a capacity of 455 horsepower.

Besides new names like Silverado Midnight, Colorado 2017 or Trax, at Chevrolet's booth there is another American sports car model, the 2016 Camaro SS. GM Vietnam representative shared that Chevrolet Camaro SS will be sold in Vietnam as soon as possible.

Chevrolet Camaro is also known for the character Bumblebee in the Transformers series. The 2016 Camaro SS that appeared at the Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) 2016 has a yellow body, decorated with a black strip of paint running from the hood to the rear of the car, up to the rear spoiler.

Standard features on the 2016 Camaro include the MyLink infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay connectivity, OnStar 4G LTE, remote keyless start, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rearview camera, power front seats and new knee airbags.

The Camaro SS is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine, direct fuel injection, VVT variable valve timing, 455 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, maximum torque of 617 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The sports car uses an 8-speed automatic transmission combined with rear-wheel drive, helping the car accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in 4 seconds.

In the US, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS has a starting price of $37,300.
