Chevrolet Spark 2018 is priced from 299 million VND in Vietnam

The new version of the Chevrolet Spark small car has just been officially introduced in the Vietnamese market with prices ranging from 299 to 389 million VND.

Chevrolet Spark 2018 has 3 versions including Spark LS, Spark LT 5 seats and Spark Duo 2 seats just launched by GM Vietnam. The small car has some new interior and exterior details besides the new generation MyLink entertainment system. However, the engine is still the 1.2L version with 5-speed manual transmission. There is no automatic transmission option.

The exterior design of the Spark 2018 has a new front and rear bumper. The improved grille enhances the sporty look along with the redesigned headlights and taillights. The standard 165/65 tires on the Spark 2018 are larger than previous versions. The highest version is equipped with 14-inch multi-spoke wheels.

Inside the cabin, the instrument cluster has been redesigned for easier viewing. The control system is located on the steering wheel in the Spark LT version, allowing the driver to turn on music, adjust the volume, and make hands-free calls while still focusing on driving. The small car also has an electric power steering wheel for quick response to driving operations.

The 2018 Chevrolet Spark small car is equipped for the first time with the latest generation Chevrolet Mylink global entertainment system, allowing users to connect devices such as smartphones and tablets to listen to music, watch movies, photos, as well as synchronize and display contacts on the 7-inch color touch screen.

Other features include smart key system with remote control key, 4-speaker audio, AM/FM radio and USB/AUX connection.

Chevrolet Spark faces big competitors in the segment such as Kia Morning or Hyundai Grand i10. Sales are therefore much lower than its competitors. Graphics: Han Nguyen.

Safety equipment includes 2 front disc brakes, rear drum brakes and 2 airbags on all versions. Spark LS and Spark LT have additional central door locking. Anti-lock braking system (ABS) is exclusively available for Spark LT.

The "heart" of the Chevrolet Spark 2018 is a 1.2L engine, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission to produce a maximum capacity of 80 horsepower at 6,400 rpm, maximum torque of 108 Nm at 4,800 rpm.

Chevrolet Spark 2018 has 6 color options. The 2-seat Spark Duo version is priced at 299 million VND while the Spark LS and Spark LT versions are priced at 359 and 389 million VND respectively.

In the small car segment, Chevrolet Spark will compete with rivals such as Kia Morning or Hyundai Grand i10.
